God has and is showing us how enormous He is, how generous He is.
This morning I was feeling a little overwhelmed and called my girlfriend who I knew wouldn't be home. But she was home. She cleared her schedule for the day to bless her family and see if there was anything she could do for me. She was going to call me earlier - but had sat down to spend needed time with her kids first. She had just finished a game when she stood up and walked toward the kitchen. That's when I called.
Tonight we took Claire and Simon out for dinner to have some two on two time -- time to be available if they needed to talk, express, dream, ask questions about how our life was soon to change. A few times I began asking some deep questions to which Claire nodded and smiled and Simon blew air bubbles into his pink lemon-ade.
We headed to Cost-co to get more stuff for the orphanage since we still have more space in the suitcases. We walked into the store which was closing at 8:30 -- at 8:28. No one stopped us from walking in or told us they were about to close. I was looking at some crocs that the orphanage asked for -- and said something to Claire (she was wondering if I was shopping for her) that no, these were for the orphanage. A woman who was an employee whirls around and says : Did you say "orphanage?" -- What Orphanage? Well, so I tell our story and she is just staring at me. She is adopting from Ethiopia and she knows about Hannah's Hope where our kids are. The story goes on - but basically we exchange phonenumbers etc. A few minutes later she chases me down with 8 outfits that she buys - she pays for them and sends them with us to bring to HH. Before we leave - her boss comes and says if we can get a tax ID for Hannahs Hope he will provide another huge donation that we can pick up on Friday before we leave.
So, I am walking from the store with the few things we got and I am laughing -- How big is our God, people? His Arm is so long, his generosity so great. I am once again - once again through this journey just Astounded. Amazed. Speechless. Filled with Laughter. How big is Our God?
