oo-hah (water)

Roland is at urgent care with Gertie getting her chin stitched up. Over the handbars thing. Life is so crazy. It is so loud and we laugh so much. We took the kids to the beach today - one of our absolute favorite things to do. We hiked in and carried a lunch. We laid out the blanket and I started handing out food. We were trying to explain to Ollie not to touch the sand and then his food, how to sit so we didn't get sand on the blanket. He did really well but then he would forget and crunch, crunch. There was nothing like this in Africa Gertie told us.
Ollie spills every day. He spills his cereal "milk," he drops his juice popcicle, he spills his water, he spills his snack. He knocks over water at the dinner table - you get the picture. We try not to scold him everytime but just remind him to "be careful." Just now he leaned over to give me a kiss good-night while carrying his full water glass and he poured it all over my chest when he leaned over. So, I am soaked but thankfully I got my good-night kiss.
