Sharing

Yesterday was a great day. However it didn't start out too well because Gertie is already borrowing her older sister Claire's clothes and the older sister isn't quite used to that yet. We had put the kids to bed really early on Monday night so they were up extra early on Tuesday morning and so I awoke to Claire and Simon on one team Gertie and Ollie on the other arguing about the shirt. Claire was looking up the work "liar" in the Amharic dictionary. Oh my. Well, I gave a little lecture on sharing which Claire admits is a weakness for her...
Later Claire came to me and we talked more about sharing and loving and she said, "Mom it;s like that movie Evan Almighty... when God is explaining that if someone prays for patience then should God give them patience or an opportunity to be more patient. So, God knows I have trouble sharing my stuff and so God gave me Gertie."
I was getting dinner ready when I found a coupon on the table. It was for a free pedicure from Claire and hair-do and make-up from Gertie. I thought why not? So, you should see my fingers and toes - they are hot pink. I had pig-tails and bright red lipstick on with purple eyeliner and lots of brown eye shadow.
