Backpack

We are coming to one of our last adoption expenses for post reports and I am just in AWE of God how he has provided for us BEYOND my expectations. I am amazed.
I am so thankful for the sunshine today. I kept the kids locked in the house until schoolwork was done because I knew once they escaped there would be no return. I would have lost their attention. Yabi has fallen in love with the backpack today. So, we have shed our raincoat, still donning a helmet of course but we have added a backpack. Everytime I see him it looks a little heavier and sounds like there is a puzzle loose in there.
This morning we worked on our Color Names. I bought Gertie some homeschool books yesterday and it is truly back to the BASICS. When it says color the circles blue... well, we know what "color" means but what is a circle and what is "buh-loo" ?? She is soooo happy to have her own little basket with her own little math book and phonics book. Claire and Simon think that's nuts. We tried to play "Sorry" (the boardgame) but I got so frustrated that when Gertie's piece reached home I acted like that was the end of the game and she won. We'll revisit boardgames later.
Uncle Phil joined us for dinner last night through Skype. We set the lap top on the dining room table. It was a trip when Ollie offered Uncle Phil a potato.
