Well - I may not be ready to leave - but I am ready to come home. After this weekend we are so ready. My dear friend Christy Lipscomb (since we were little 2nd graders) and my Aunt Robertta - who is like my big sister, threw me a huge shower this weekend. Just huge, totally excessive! I am so blessed. It was a little hard to breathe when I saw this mound - like you've never seen- of gifts. Beautifully wrapped and all my best girls hanging around and socializing.

I have gotten a few emails like:  What is going on?  You're adopting?  So, I'll back track and record our journey from the beginning.  You can skim for those of you who've already read this.  Also, I'll just get started because I only have twenty minutes!

Well, I think it's finally hitting me.  I keep looking around the house thinking of more things I want to clean and organize before Gertie and Ollie come home.  I made a really, really long list of things I HAVE to do.  As of 4:00 I crossed off two things.  Yikes.

We received emails from our case worker at All God's Children this past Tuesday. We didn't realize that it was a "prep email" so that we would know better what to expect when we went to go get them. What's a prep email? We didn't know either. Anyway, we got sizes for them and a little more detail of their personality... some of it we could witness by the video we had watched of them.
